WOW... I am not surprised to see Bushy pitching so well, but a lot of people are. He was thought to be the 5th starter coming into the season, maybe even slated for a bullpen spot. That is definitely not the case though. He has pitched well in all 3 of his starts, finally coming away with a win tonight. In his first two starts he was jipped out of wins by the bullpen. If he continues to pith this way, minus the walks he issued (4) he should be on track to win somewhere in the area of 12-15 wins. Right now he is the best pitcher on the staff, but tomorrow Yo Go should come around and pitch well against this Pirates team who does not have a very good offense or defense.
13 games through the season the Brewers are 6-7 and Prince Fielder and Yovanni Gallardo have yet to show their normal selves. If and when they turn things around this team will be a team to reckon with. So things aren't looking bad, but i stick to my statement yesterday... If the pitching staff is in the bottom third of the league again at the end of the year Doug Melvin MUST go!
